I am Miryam Mi-Ying Huang (황미영, 広田ミリアム, Mirjam). I am a 4th year Ph.D. student in Computer Science at the University of Southern California. I am advised by Prof. Jiapeng Zhang and I work closely with Prof. Shang-Hua Teng. Before joining USC, I worked with Prof. Kai-Min Chung on cryptography at Academia Sinica, Taiwan and Prof. Stephen R. Leone on physics at the University of California Berkeley. My research interests lie in classical and quantum cryptography and complexity theory.
I am visiting Simons Institute Summer Cluster on Quantum Computing Program this summer.
NEWS: Our obfuscation paper will be presented at the Simons Obfuscation workshop!
I am deeply grateful to Professors Andrea Coladangelo, Qipeng Liu, Prabhanjan Ananth, and Charles Lim for hosting my visits and generously sharing their insights, advice, and encouragement throughout my quantum research journey. I also thank Stefano Tessaro and Rachel Lin for their hospitality and guidance in cryptography.
Mijn naam is Mirjam: I was named Miryam, in remembrance of my multi-heritage family, and was later given the name Mi-Ying to echo Mirjam/Miryam/Miriam in Mandarin.
